US DOT MID-SOUTH ATLANTIC SBTRC

The Brief:

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (DOT/OSDBU) has named the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance (The Alliance) as its Mid South Atlantic Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC). SBTRC acts as a separate yet collaborative entity with The Alliance. SBTRC is hosting a program that educates Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE’s) on how to obtain and retain surety bonds.

The Challenge:

SBTRC needed a place for DBE’s to register for the Bonding Education Program and future educational programs they would be hosting.

The Solution:

VIVO360 created a responsive website for SBTRC. The website is a way for the DBE’s that would be registering for the program to learn more about the program and the organizations’ hosting the program. What was truly magnificent, is the integration of the registration system that was already in use by The Alliance, into the website. VIVO360 used API’s to pull the information from the existing registration site into the new website for SBTRC. This way wherever a DBE registered – whether it be through The Alliance or SBTRC, their information would end up in one cohesive database that could be accessed at anytime. VIVO360 was able to accomplish three goals. MBE registration. Data collection. Informational distribution.

* The Mid-South Atlantic SBTRC is headquartered in Atlanta, GA and covers the states of Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
